Chubb was an amazing Dwarf Siberian
Hamster who adopted me one day cold January day.  He was outgoing, inquisitive,
brave,  and very much a people-hamster.

In June 1999, at the age of 5 months, he was diagnosed with diabetes, and many wonderful
people, including Chubb's vet, gave their encouragement, advice and support with regards
            to his treatment.

Sadly, not much is known about the treatment of diabetic hamsters, and Chubb left us to go
to the Rainbow Bridge on the 16th of July 1999.

Chubb's legacy is that there is now a veterinarian who knows much more about the treatment
of diabetic hamsters, and so any other hamster who is stricken with this illness will have
the benefit of her experience. Chubb left an indelible mark on my heart, and has changed
my life in ways I am only just finding out about. He is greatly missed.
